The Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will today (5 may 2020) go live for the second time this month. The live interaction is scheduled to start at noon. It is anticipated that the HRD minister will talk about the exam dates for the national level competitive exams – JEE Main and NEET.
JEE Advanced Exam Dates 2020
Students may please note that JEE Advanced 2020 exam dates would be announced by Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi. The dates are likely to be announced after the JEE Main 2020 exam dates are announced and the admit cards are released. Tentatively, however, it can be suggested that JEE Advanced 2020 would be conducted after about a month of JEE Main 2020 examinations are conducted.
Earlier, the minister had announced that these exams will be held in May-end, however, with lockdown being extended till May 17, the exams are expected to be postponed further. Over 9 lakh students have registered to appear for JEE Main and over 15.93 lakh have applied for NEET 2020, as per the National Testing Agency (NTA).

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the UGC calendar has suggested to conduct the college exams from July 1 and to start new session in August. "College level exams to be held from July 1 and will try to declare result by July-end so that the session can begin from August. We have asked institutes to be aware about situation in their area. In case an area is still affected in July, they can promote students on basis of previous and internal exams," Nishank said.Â
